Hi, I am Jason, Ernesto’s older brother. Ernesto was diagnosed with leukemia when he was only 3 years old and died in February 2020. Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley has been here for my family ever since June 2018. PCFLV helped my family and me to have some very special memories with my brother, Ernesto. One favorite memory was when we were able to go to the Iron Pigs game and enjoy popcorn and ice cream. I love that memory because we were all happy and got to enjoy being with each other. The women at PCFLV make me feel welcomed and that I am not alone. Seeing my brother go through this tough journey has been really hard, and I just couldn’t imagine doing it without my parents, my family, social workers and the PCFLV community!

Even though my brother is no longer with us PCFLV is always including my family and me. We did not ask to be a part of a pediatric cancer community, but I wouldn’t have wanted to go through it with any other women or foundation. Thank you, PCFLV, for giving my family memories that we cherish and hold on to forever. Ernesto, you are missed and loved every day.

Love,

Your brother, Jason
