Our Hailey’s story…It’s a beautiful story full of love, miracles, dreams come true, broken hearts and faith. Hailey was diagnosed with Wilms when she was three years old. Wilms is kidney cancer. The news of Hailey having cancer was just absolutely and completely crushing. We prayed, boy did we pray! God blessed Hailey with such resilience through all her treatments. Her side effects from the chemo were minimal. Most of the time you wouldn’t have known she was sick. She loved every moment to the fullest, with so much excitement for everything!

Hailey influenced so many in her short time here on earth. She was given the gift to be Donnie Wahlberg’s Cover Girl on stage at a New Kids on the Block concert. This made Hailey very well known in the Blockhead fan club community. They were always sending her things and stuck by her side all through her cancer. She had people praying for her all over the world. So many said because of Hailey, they began to pray or started praying again. Hailey loved making music videos and having me post them on her Twitter and Facebook pages. She made people laugh; she made people smile. We were so blessed to laugh and smile every day because of her. Hailey was so close with all who loved her! Being stuck at home most of her life, she lived through my phone. Constantly texting, calling, and FaceTiming everyone!

We were and still continue to be very blessed to have PCFLV in our lives! Hailey became close buddies with dear sweet Michelle. She just loved her! PCFLV gave our family so many happy memories we will forever treasure! Hailey went into remission twice through her cancer journey. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Feeling on top of the world because evil cancer was beat! To hearing…it’s back again. Last year we were told there was nothing else that could be done. When you hear something like that you just want to be done….with everything. But through prayer we found strength to make the most of the time we had left. Because of the great generosity of so many we were able to fulfill Hailey’s dream of going to Disney World! In her journal, she wrote that it was the best week of her life! We were blessed again to make Hailey’s wish of going to Utah to swim in her aunt’s pool come true! We also made it to the American Girl Doll store in New York!

We were blessed with enough time to do everything on Hailey’s list! On November 2, 2022, our Hailey gained her Angel wings. We all just crumbled. But our Hailey is free now! Free from surgeries, needles, awful-tasting medicine and “nonsense nurses”! That’s what she would call them lol! They were all truly amazing! Hailey had just had her fill. But free! Free to dance and sing without any pain! Hailey loved Whitney Houston! We like to think she’s up there singing side by side with her! And dancing with Michael Jackson lol! She was a big Michael Jackson fan, too! Since our Hailey has been gone, she has found special ways to make her presence still known in our lives. So many what they call “glimmer moments”. This isn’t the end. Not for Hailey, not for our family. We will be together again!
