Lailah’lee's Story
For weeks, Lailah’lee had not been herself - sleeping majority of the day, not eating the way she should’ve been, and having bad leg pain. After multiple hospital visits and nothing getting resolved due to the doctors brushing it off as “growing pains,” I knew I had to do something more. On January 26th, 2025, I brought her to the emergency room at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, where I asked them to do blood work -because I knew it was more than just growing pains. That’s when we found out her blood counts were all off. She then got admitted to the hospital where, two days later onJanuary 28th, 2025, we would get the news that would change all of our lives. She had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. These past 8 months have not been easy, but my baby remains so strong and so brave.
I appreciate everything PCFLV does to help all of our families, and I am so grateful that Lailah always has an extra person to comfort her during appointments and hospital stays!
