MICHELLE ZENIE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Michelle Zenie joined PCFLV in January 2014 as Executive Director. While she had been volunteering with the foundation for two years, her journey with pediatric cancer began in May 2001 when her oldest child was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 3. Today, Michelle feels truly blessed to be able to call her son, Cole, a survivor! However her experience with pediatric cancer motivated and inspired her to dedicate her time and energy to this cause. Michelle has two other children, Aidan and Makenna. Prior to her work with PCFLV, Michelle taught in the Parkland School District and was employed by Rodale Press, Inc. She is a graduate of William Allen High School, Muhlenberg College (B.S. in Biology), and Manhattanville College (Master's in the Art of Teaching).

TRACY STAUFFER, MARKETING AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Tracy joined PCFLV in February of 2016 as our Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator.  Tracy’s work background is in marketing, fundraising, and writing/editing.  She previously worked for Winning Bicycling Illustrated, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson.  Tracy spent over 10 years being a stay-at-home mom taking care of her two daughters, Kyra and Vanessa.  Before Vanessa turned two, she was diagnosed with cancer in her brain and spine.  Vanessa has been stable for several years, and has been off of chemotherapy drugs for over two years.  Tracy’s prior work experience and perspective as a cancer mom give her a unique set of skills to use at PCFLV.  Tracy is a graduate of Parkland High School and Kutztown University.

KRIS BUSS, PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Kris joined PCFLV in August 2018 as Program Coordinator after volunteering for 5 years. She first became involved with PCFLV as a counselor at Camp Smile and fell in love with the kids and families. She is a graduate of Dieruff High School, Allentown and Kutztown University with a BS in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining PCFLV she was the Director of First Step Child Care, Allentown for 13 years and continues to work part-time as an Administrative Assistant for her dad at the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown. Kris is married to her high school sweetheart, Michael and lives in Breinigsville, PA with her 3 young adult sons, Adam, Evan and Ian. 

RHONDA JOHNSON, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Rhonda joined PCFLV in November 2019 as Administrative Assistant. Rhonda’s professional background is in non-profit program management, regulatory compliance/policies/procedures and human resources. Prior to joining PCFLV she was the Child Care Information Services (CCIS) Director at Community Services for Children, Allentown for twenty years. She is a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Northampton Community College (AA in Social Work) and is working towards her BA in Organizational Leadership at Penn State (three more credits).Rhonda resides in Bethlehem, PA and has two adult married daughters, Paige and Lindsay. She has one grandson and one due in March 2020

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

MICHAEL PETRONIO, PRESIDENT

Mike earned bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Lehigh University in 1995 and spent his career managing commercial construction projects in both Eastern and Western PA. He took some time off in 2012 to purchase and renovate a large rental property in Breinigsville that he now manages with his family. Mike lives in Allentown and is currently the manager of the Facilities Design and Construction Department at PPL Electric as well as the driver, tutor, chef and repair man for his children Sera, Riley and Jake. His hobbies include golfing, skiing, home improvement projects and watching baseball. Mike joined the PCFLV Board in July of 2018 and actively donates his time, knowledge and contacts to help support this organization. 

MICHAEL CLEFFI, VICE PRESIDENT

Michael earned a Bachelors Degree in Health & Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University and a Master Degree in Education from Wilkes University. Michael is currently the acting Vice President of the PCFLV board. Michael joined the board in 2017 but has been a member of the PCFLV family since 2015 when his daughter, Mackenzie, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblast Leukemia.  Mackenzie is now cancer free and enjoys all the various activities that PCFLV has to offer for her and her two sisters.  Michael and his family are extremely grateful for the help that PCFLV has provided them throughout Mackenzie’s treatment.  Michael is a Health & Physical Education teacher with the Bethlehem Area School District and has played an active role in getting students involved in fundraising efforts for PCFLV.

KURT CANNON, TREASURER

 

CECILIA GRABIAS, SECRETARY

After earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Kutztown University, Cecilia went on to work in Therapeutic Child Support for local agencies, until she became a stay at home mom to raise her 3 girls in Lower Macungie Township. For the past 14 years, along with caring for her children, with husband, Gavin, Cecilia has served on several boards and chaired many events for her parish and school, St. Thomas More in Allentown. Cecilia and her husband have grown a strong passion for the PCFLV over the past few years, supporting the annual gala, and and other fundraising events. She enjoys traveling to the beach with her family every summer and supporting her daughters at their many cheerleading competitions through the year.

CINDY ERNST, CPA

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Accounting from Kutztown University, Cindy joined the Stortz & Associates team in 1984. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and is also licensed in Pennsylvania as a Life, Fixed Annuity, Accident and Health, Variable Life and Variable Annuity Insurance Agent and is a member of both the AICPA and PICPA. Her hobbies include reading, fitness, sports (she's a "Steagles" fan - Eagles and Steelers!) and traveling.

JANE NORDELL

Jane is originally from NJ, and earned her BA in Voice from Westminster Choir College, with a minor in arts administration. Eschewing the opera, she spent the last 17 years of her career raising major gifts for worthwhile causes including Rutgers University, PBS 39, and currently Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Jane lives in Easton with her wife and toddler twins, and enjoys cooking, eating, and going to Wegmans alone. Jane experiences the challenges of children and families with cancer through her role with LVRCH, and is proud to be able to share her skills and enthusiasm with PCFLV.

GARY CARNEY

Gary has spent 22 years in the Lehigh Valley in leadership positions for development at two different colleges.  In January 2019, he retired from Moravian College having served 8 years as the vice president for advancement where he was responsible for development, alumni engagement, marketing and communications.  Prior to that, he served as the director of development at Lafayette College. Gary received a BS from Ithaca College and an MS from West Virginia University.  He has three grown children and lives with his wife Kelly in Orefield. They like to spend free time with their children and especially in the Poconos kayaking, swimming and relaxing.   

KARLEY BIGGS SEBIA, esq.

A lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley, Karley is proud to work in and serve the community where she was raised.  She is a partner with King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC in Bethlehem concentrating her practice on business and real estate law and a mom of two very fun, and strong-willed, young children.  Karley’s passion for helping children precipitated her involvement with the PCFLV.  There are few issues more important to her than advocating for and supporting children with cancer and their families. 

SCOTT SEMMELL

Dean W. Evans is the Senior Vice President for Value Based Insurance and Payer Relations, a

Evans is the Senior Vice President for Value Based Insurance and Payer Relations, at St. Luke’s University Health Network.  He is the senior Network executive responsible for the development of innovative value based programs in response to changing reimbursement platforms as well as leading traditional third party payer relations activities. Mr. Evans was named to this position in February 2018. Mr. Evans is the former President of St. Luke’s Physician Group, having been named to that position in November, 1998. Prior to that time he held various positions within both the hospital and physician group practice entities of Temple University Health System for approximately twelve years. He has served as a Board Member for numerous health care related organizations including Health Partners, a Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Health Maintenance Organization, Berkshire Health Partners and the Eastern Pennsylvania Health Network, provider sponsored health plans and numerous non-profit community Boards.

 

Mr. Evans has a Master’s in Public Administration from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Philosophy from Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
