MICHELLE ZENIE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Michelle Zenie joined PCFLV in January 2014 as Executive Director. While she had been volunteering with the foundation for two years prior to that, her journey with pediatric cancer began in May 2001 when her oldest child was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 3. Today, Michelle feels truly blessed to be able to call her son, Cole, a survivor! However her experience with pediatric cancer motivated and inspired her to dedicate her time and energy to this cause. Michelle has two other children, Aidan and Makenna. Prior to her work with PCFLV, Michelle taught in the Parkland School District and was employed by Rodale Press, Inc. She is a graduate of William Allen High School, Muhlenberg College (B.S. in Biology), and Manhattanville College (Master's in the Art of Teaching).
TRACY STAUFFER, MARKETING, COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Tracy joined PCFLV in February of 2016 as our Marketing and Community Relations Coordinator., and recently Development was added to her job tasks. Tracy’s work background is in marketing, fundraising, and writing/editing. She previously worked for Winning Bicycling Illustrated, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson. Tracy spent over 10 years being a stay-at-home mom taking care of her two daughters, Kyra and Vanessa. Before Vanessa turned two, she was diagnosed with cancer in her brain and spine. Vanessa has been stable for several years, and has been off of chemotherapy drugs for over three years. Tracy’s prior work experience and perspective as a cancer mom give her a unique set of skills to use at PCFLV. Tracy is a graduate of Parkland High School and Kutztown University.
KRIS BUSS, PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Kris joined PCFLV in August 2018 as Program Coordinator after volunteering for 5 years. She
first became involved with PCFLV as a counselor at Camp Smile and fell in love with the kids and families. She is a graduate of Dieruff High School, Allentown and Kutztown University with a BS in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining PCFLV she was the Director of First Step Child Care, Allentown for 13 years and continues to work part-time as an Administrative Assistant for her dad at the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown. Kris is married to her high school sweetheart, Michael and lives in Breinigsville, PA with her 3 young adult sons, Adam, Evan and Ian.
RHONDA JOHNSON, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Rhonda joined PCFLV in November 2019 as Administrative Assistant. Rhonda’s professional background is in non-profit program management, regulatory compliance/policies/procedures and human resources. Prior to joining PCFLV she was the Child Care Information Services (CCIS) Director at Community Services for Children, Allentown for twenty years. She is a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Northampton Community College (AA in Social Work) and is working towards her BA in Organizational Leadership at Penn State University. Rhonda resides in Bethlehem, PA and has two daughters, Paige and Lindsay and a grandson, Carson.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
MICHAEL PETRONIO, PRESIDENT
Mike earned bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Lehigh University in 1995 and spent his career managing commercial construction projects in both Eastern and Western PA. He took some time off in 2012 to purchase and renovate a large rental property in Breinigsville that he now manages with his family. Mike lives in Allentown and is currently the manager of the Facilities Design and Construction Department at PPL Electric as well as the driver, tutor, chef and repair man for his children Sera, Riley and Jake. His hobbies include golfing, skiing, home improvement projects and watching baseball. Mike joined the PCFLV Board in July of 2018 and actively donates his time, knowledge and contacts to help support this organization.
MICHAEL CLEFFI, VICE PRESIDENT
Michael earned a Bachelors Degree in Health & Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University and a Master Degree in Education from Wilkes University. Michael is currently the acting Vice President of the PCFLV board. Michael joined the board in 2017 but has been a member of the PCFLV family since 2015 when his daughter, Mackenzie, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblast Leukemia. Mackenzie is now cancer free and enjoys all the various activities that PCFLV has to offer for her and her two sisters. Michael and his family are extremely grateful for the help that PCFLV has provided them throughout Mackenzie’s treatment. Michael is a Health & Physical Education teacher with the Bethlehem Area School District and has played an active role in getting students involved in fundraising efforts for PCFLV.
DEAN EVANS, TREASURER
Dean W. Evans is the Senior Vice President for Value Based Insurance and Payer Relations, at St. Luke’s University Health Network. He is the senior Network executive responsible for the development of innovative value based programs in response to changing reimbursement platforms as well as leading traditional third party payer relations activities. Mr. Evans was named to this position in February 2018. Mr. Evans is the former President of St. Luke’s Physician Group, having been named to that position in November, 1998. Prior to that time he held various positions within both the hospital and physician group practice entities of Temple University Health System for approximately twelve years. He has served as a Board Member for numerous health care related organizations including Health Partners, a Pennsylvania Medical Assistance Health Maintenance Organization, Berkshire Health Partners and the Eastern Pennsylvania Health Network, provider sponsored health plans and numerous non-profit community Boards.
Mr. Evans has a Master’s in Public Administration from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Philosophy from Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
CECILIA GRABIAS, SECRETARY
After earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Kutztown University, Cecilia went on to work in Therapeutic Child Support for local agencies, until she became a stay at home mom to raise her 3 girls in Lower Macungie Township. For the past 14 years, along with caring for her children, with husband, Gavin, Cecilia has served on several boards and chaired many events for her parish and school, St. Thomas More in Allentown. Cecilia and her husband have grown a strong passion for the PCFLV over the past few years, supporting the annual gala, and and other fundraising events. She enjoys traveling to the beach with her family every summer and supporting her daughters at their many cheerleading competitions through the year.
Karen Vadyak is Vice President of Patient Care Services for Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital and the Women and Children’s service line for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). Karen completed her Doctor in Nursing Practice at Drexel University, and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from DeSales University. As a recent addition to the board, Karen has seen the challenges that pediatric cancer patients and their families encounter and is proud to support the mission of PCFLV. A resident of Easton, Karen enjoys spending time with husband, Harry, and daughters Kaitlin and Victoria and their families. Relaxation for Karen includes yoga, meditation, running, and spending every moment she can near water, even if it’s just the backyard pool.
Kimberly is the Vice President of Small Development Officer at Fulton Financial.
Kimberly joined Fulton Financial Inc. in September 2013 coming from Susquehanna Bank. Kimberly has been in the financial industry for over 30 years. Over the course of her career, Kimberly worked in various departments within the financial industry; Kimberly worked in the mortgage industry for 15 years, in 2008 Kimberly brought her knowledge and experience to the branch network as a Market Manager developing business relationships in the LV. In 2013, Kimberly brought her knowledge and experience to aid businesses with Merchant Services and Corporate Card spending within the Treasury Department. Going back to her roots, Kimberly is now the Vice President of Small Business Banking with Fulton Bank ensuring local businesses have the financial tools they need to be successful. Kimberly is the mother of two wonderful sons, Matthew and Dakota and stepson John. Kimberly is active within her community, with the LV Saturday AMLions Club, Greater LV Small Business Council, BWNice and volunteering her time with various Non-Profit organizations throughout the LV.
I am Jonathan Leyden. I am a Penn State University Graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics with a Minor of Business Law. I am a District Executive for Santander Bank where I cover the areas of Lehigh Valley, Schuylkill County, and parts of Reading. I have been with Santander for 7 years and previously was at Wells Fargo/Wachovia for 9 years where I met my wife Darlene. We have 2 beautiful children Shane-12 and Emma-3. I love to watch and play sports and am very competitive. I am a Huge Notre Dame Fan which made going to Penn State a conflict of interest. Losing our Nephew Evan in 2018 at the age of 11 impacted our entire family. I wanted to get involved with Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley to drive more awareness and to help other families that have been impacted in our community.
Terry Glennon is a project manager for Johnson & Johnson where he has worked for the past 8 years. He is originally from Long Island, NY and currently resides in Phillipsburg, NJ where he has lived for the past 20 years. Terry has three incredible children, Yasmin, Thalia and Sean.
Terry has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from St. John’s University and an MBA in International Business and Transportation Management from Syracuse University. After graduating from Syracuse, Terry moved to Asia where he spent the next 7 years living and working in Singapore and Malaysia. He has worked for a number of multinational companies including AT&T, Ernst & Young, BOC Gases and Johnson & Johnson over the past 25 years, managed a non-profit organization and worked as a process improvement consultant.
He has served as a board member for two school boards and multiple non-profit organizations over the past 20 years. Terry’s hobbies include exercise, playing golf, tennis, softball and refereeing soccer games.
Dennis Hower became a Teamster in 1990, becoming a Trustee for Teamster Local 773 in 2005, Vice President in 2007, and in 2013, was elected President and he has been elected three times to this position without any opposition. In 2018, Dennis was named the Director of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ Training and Development Department
Dennis is the current Political Action Coordinator for Local 773, and has worked on various campaigns on the local, state and national level. He enjoys working to raise the standard of living for all working families through political action. Dennis is a graduate of Joint Council 53 Organizing School and the Teamsters Leadership Academy on Political Action. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management from Muhlenberg College.
In November of 2011, Dennis was elected to the Board of Commissioners of Whitehall Township, PA. He served two terms and was elected as President of the Board and Chairman of the Legal and Legislative committee.
Dennis enjoys volunteering his time to help on various fundraising campaigns for many local non-profits including Big Brothers Big Sisters, the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, Second Harvest Food Bank, Real Men Wear Pink/American Cancer Society and the Every Ribbon Counts Foundation.
Nicole is originally from Toms River, New Jersey and has now made the Lehigh Valley her home. She is a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, as well as an alumna of Widener University – Delaware Law School. She is an attorney at Goudsouzian & Associates in Easton concentrating her practice on business and real estate law, as well as estate planning and administration. Since college, Nicole has had a passion for helping children and advocating for pediatric cancer. As a new board member, she is excited to support PCFLV and its impact on our local community. Nicole lives in Bethlehem with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Lehigh Valley’s culinary scene, traveling, and spending time with her family.
