Mental health and well-being should always be a top priority, but in the midst of a battle with pediatric cancer, it can often get overlooked. Fighting your child’s cancer can be all-consuming. Procedures, tests, clinic visits, home care, and trips to the pharmacy can leave little time to focus on a family’s emotional wellness. PCFLV makes that task a little easier by offering monthly support groups for parents of children currently in-treatment and in survivorship, bereaved parents, and grandparents. Our art and music therapy groups offer additional emotional support for our warriors and siblings, while fostering their creativity and sense of connection. We support the whole family…and the WHOLE you.

Supporting the Hearts Behind the Journey
Providing Space to Feel, Heal & Be Heard
Creative outlets like art and music are ideal ways to help little ones deal with the BIG emotions of the pediatric cancer journey. Our bereaved parents deal with the most difficult of those emotions…so we offer them the opportunity to share those in our Bereaved Parent Support Group.

More Ways to Find Support
Being able to talk to and share with others who are walking in the same shoes as us is an essential tool in navigating the pediatric cancer journey. Our support groups are often a compass to help our families find their way.
Caregiver Support Group
A place where parents and caregivers can share experiences, ask questions, and find comfort from others who understand, and be supported by a licensed therapist.
One-on-One Support
We connect newly diagnosed parents with another cancer parent who can offer a listening ear, share experiences and practical advice, and remind them they don’t have to navigate the journey alone.
Grandparent Support Group
A monthly opportunity for grandparents to share their experiences and receive support as they navigate the unique challenge of watching both their grandchild face cancer and their own child navigate the journey as a parent.
"The opportunities PCFLV gives our family to spend time together making memories, is something we can't ever thank them enough for. We also get to spend time with other cancer families who have become friends. It's so nice to talk to others who "get us" and understand all the crap we have to go through and just check in with each other."
Jenna, Cancer Mom
"Being part of the PCFLV Grandparent Support Group has given me a safe and supportive place to share the difficult emotions that come with having a grandchild with cancer. We talk about the challenges of supporting both our grandchildren and our own children, share what we’ve learned along the way, and help one another navigate the needs of our families during a crisis. We are so fortunate that Michelle recognized the need for a support group specifically for grandparents."
Ilsa, Cancer Grandmother
"My kids adore going to any PCFLV event, however, they really love art and music therapy. They enjoy being able to engage with other kids, take an art lesson, and be creative! I always hear about the fun games they play, songs they sing, and things they talk about. PCFLV's programs are so valuable for kids who are on this journey. They don't focus on the diagnosis, they just let them be kids. We are so grateful for PCFLV!"
